Dental Implants in Midwest City

Living day to day with missing teeth can be challenging. You may have to avoid eating certain foods because of pain and sensitivity. Worse yet, you may feel so self-conscious about that obvious empty space that you want to hide your smile.

Dr. Amaya and the team at Diamond Dental use implants to help many patients move from a life of discomfort and lowered self-esteem to a life filled with the ability to eat what they want and enjoy a functional, beautiful smile.

A Healthy Long-Term Solution for Missing Teeth

Dental bridges are one option we offer for replacing a missing tooth, but the problem with bridges is that they depend on the support of neighboring teeth. Dentures are another option for replacing teeth but come with their own challenges, including slipping, messy adhesives, and difficulty staying clean.

Dental implants offer the ideal solution for replacing missing teeth. The secret to the success of dental implants is that they provide a permanent replacement root that’s anchored in your jaw. The implant becomes a permanent part of your jaw that secures and stabilizes the crown, bridge, or denture attached to it.

Three Steps for Placing a Dental Implant

Dental implants are placed in three steps:

The first step involves replacing the lost natural tooth root with the new artificial root. We then allow time for the implant to heal before moving on to the next step of the implant process.

When you return to our office after the healing process is complete, Dr. Amaya will check the implant to make sure it has integrated successfully with the bone and tissue in your jaw. If so, he will attach the second piece to the implant, which is called the abutment. This is the part of the implant we use to attach a functional dental restoration.

In preparation for the third step, Dr. Amaya will talk to you about your options for replacing the part of the tooth that you can see. This may be a crown, bridge, or denture. Once the decision has been made, we’ll proceed to the third step – creating your customized dental prosthetic.

Personalized Patient Care

No case or patient is the same, and that’s why our team is ready to give you the individual attention you deserve for your unique situation.

After our evaluation, we may find that you’re not an ideal candidate for dental implants. If that’s the case, we will outline all your options and help you find the treatment that best fits your needs.
